Duct Tape to the Rescue!

It rained hard and wind blew for an hour or so yesterday. When I went outside and checked today, the nest had fallen apart and one bird was missing. The other one was falling out of the nest! Ron duct taped the nest while the mother complained. Hopefully it is back together and it will survive!

I went back out and it looked like the bird was close to the duct tape. But, Ron of course, said he hoped he didn't duct tape the bird to the nest. :)
Now, here it is. all better and mother is back. Let's hope...
Now, another egg in our front yard. It's a dove's nest. Only one egg so far.

Spring Has Sprung in the Desert! Whoa!

Very warm today-about 95 degrees. I stayed covered with sunblock but went for a bike ride in my neighborhood and took these pictures. Beautiful! They say that the cacti won't have as many blossoms this year because of the lack of rain. But all of the blossoms have just started. The orange blossoms smell so sweet! Can't wait to see and smell the rest of AZ spring.

Hiking Trip to Sedona with Eric and Jami

This is our wonderful Jami, Eric and their sweet adorable dog, Bethany.
Bethany is quite shy but warms up to you and loves her belly rubbed!
We had a great picnic and then Jami and Eric had to leave us to drive back to Albuquerque. Then of course, Ron started to show off! This is Ron, saying that he is so strong and brave that he could climb this yucca plant!
But, then we saw Bell Rock and of course had to climb it!
The arrows show how far we got. Ron was braver than me or maybe not as smart!
This is an actual picture of him that I took from where I stopped climbing.
He is way up there!

But, it was worth the breathtaking view! Whoa!
